Isn't this service free?

BookAngles is free, but not without cost.

Time
BookAngles is a time-consuming pursuit. We spend hundreds of hours a year reading books, writing reviews, answering daily e-mails, maintaining the website and conducting research. It brings us pleasure and satisfaction to empower other adults, like you, to decide what is best for your children/students and to intelligently discuss issues raised by various authors. We have no desire to make these decisions for you.

Update: In 2009, we stopped adding books so we can devote more of our volunteer time to the slavery and human trafficking issue (see info in the right column).

Expense
Reliable internet communication is not free; we do have expenses. With no promotional budget and mainly word of mouth, we serve about 500 registered users.

We are thankful for the encouragement and support that keeps this resource alive, growing and available to increasing numbers of adults who really care about the mental food they offer the children in their care.

Here is how you can help
(thanks for asking)

Give your opinion of a book we have reviewed. Find a place to give your opinion at the bottom of each book review page. (You must be a registered user.)

Tell your friends, organizations and other web sites about BookAngles.com. We may be just the free resource they have been looking for.

End Slavery

The best way to show your appreciation for this free service:

Free the slaves

For many years, our focus was on helping families train their own children. Our heart is still there, but this season of life has us focused on something old, yet new – slavery. More people are held as unwilling slaves today (27 million) than at any time in history, including over 200,000 in the U.S., mostly women and children.

If you appreciate the service BookAngles has provided over the years to you and others, then we invite you to show that appreciation with a donation to our work with International Teams.

to end slavery, because every slave is a family member. Thanks.
